Friday 19th June 2009 Got picked up by Helen and Paul at 10.30a.m, Janina also along for the ride (not quite the weekend Paul had planned!). and after loading the bikes and luggage we were off. Stopped at Chideock for a meal and also a coffee break at a roadside café. Everything Geoff ate he said was full of carbs and protein as he needed it for strength. Janina managed to talk the entire journey and had me in stitches when she was given the directions to read out to Paul. She still managed to keep talking by repeating the instructions in the tom-tom voice. Did we ever get to that roundabout Jay?? When we got closer, Geoff started to read the instructions given to him by his mate Dave (who we were staying with overnight). Janina continued to read hers and poor Paul had to try and guess which way to go. After taking a wrong turn, Paul suggested they decide whose instructions they were going to use. Janina said they should keep following hers and then Geoff came up with the quote of the day “ I think my friend knows where he lives”. We then followed Dave’s instructions and found the house without any further problems (though I am sure Jay would have found it too). After dropping us off Helen, Paul and Jay went off to visit a friend who lived nearby. We went out to a local pub with Dave and Cheryl and their children Lisa and Andrew. Had a great evening and finally turned in for the evening, sleeping in a bed for the last time for 2.5 weeks (Andrew gave up his room for us). Next Day >>
